Meet Our Bursary Recipients

Megan MacLeod

We are trilled to award Megan MacLeod the winter semester Casey Stevens Bursary!

Megan is known by her family and friends as reliable and is solution-focused on helping others navigate their problems.

A third year Concurrent Education and French Studies student at the University of
Windsor, Megan is following her childhood dream of becoming a teacher.

Her contributions to the community are through volunteer work: tutoring with underprivileged kids; helping to support them academically and socially, as well as organizes and executes events at the university through her role as VP of Events of the Society of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, and helps to provide for local families in need through annual drives.

In the words of Megan

“It is an absolute honour to be the recipient of the Casey Stevens Bursary for the winter semester.
I am eternally grateful to Stacey and the outstanding work done by the Help Her Fly organization for providing me with the means to continue my education as I strive to become a teacher
. I cannot fully express what this bursary means to me, but I know that it will aid me greatly on my path to empowering the next generation in the classroom. Thank you to Help Her Fly and the Windsor community who have supported me on my journey and have given me the opportunity to grow as a lifelong learner.”
